High Atlas and Trekking in Imlil Day trip
Day tour starts from Marrakesh and ends in Imlil.
Departure is around 9 in the morning. Heading towards Moulay Brahim Gorges, and arriving at the main trailhead with streams and pathways that go in different directions. From here, you can take a Camel ride and continue to Imlil valley, traveling through many Berber villages. You will break for a welcome cup of mint tea before taking a mule ride for 1.8 miles to Armed. The highest and the biggest village in Imlil valley. After that, you will trek for 1-3 hours to the Berber village of Ait Souka, passing the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa and Imoula.
Stop off in Tamatert where you can have lunch with a Berber family in their home. Enjoy the view of ancient irrigated terraces of barley, corn and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. Continue for another 30 minutes to reach more homes of Berber families and hang out with them while sipping mint tea and learning about their lifestyle.
You can talk a walk down to Azroul and visit the waterfalls. Following that, you will begin your return trip down the other side of the valley of Taourirt before driving back to Marrakech.
