14-day tour in Morocco
If you wish to see the complete Morocco and have 2-week time, then this tour is for you. You will see the same sites as the Classic Morocco Tour, in addition to a visit to our favorite remote places of Morocco.
Day 1: Casablanca
Upon arrival and pick up from Casablanca, you will head out to your hotel. You will visit the city, including Hassan II mosque, one of the world’s biggest mosques outside of Mecca.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will depart for Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, the famous blue city of Morocco in the Rif Mountains. On the way, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for lunch and a time to enjoy the beautiful coastal city. After lunch, you will continue on to Chefchaouen for the night. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen Tour
After breakfast, you will go on a tour of this gorgeous blue town, nested in the mountains. You will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Rif Mountains. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, you will depart for the ancient Roman ruins and mosaics of Volubilis. You will spend the morning exploring the 2000-year-old ruins and conjure up life during the Roman Empire. Also, visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Lunch will be had in Meknes, one of Morocco’s Imperial cities. After lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes, and then you will head off to Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Fes – Guided tour of the Medina
After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour of Fes Medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. You will explore its narrow streets, lined with stalls selling fresh fruit, rows of tall spice cones, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. The King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will get to experience. You will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After that, you will continue your tour and return to your riad for the evening.
Day 6: Fes – Atlas Mountains – Midelt – Erfoud
Departure from Fes after breakfast towards the famous South of Morocco. You will visit Ifrane, established in the 1930s, a forested hillside city that resembles a Swiss village. It’s become a popular ski resort area. Then continue to Azrou, a famous town for woodwork. Nearby, you will run into many colonies of amusing Barbary apes in the Cedar Forests. Next stop is Midelt. You will travel through the spectacular Ziz valley passing palm groves and green valleys. The scenery changes into dry and desert looking as you approach the south.
Day 7: Erfoud – The Sahara Desert – Camel Trek
After breakfast in your Kasbah Hotel, you will set out an explorative journey of the area. You will visit the nomads in their goat-hair tent and learn about desert life. After that, you will visit the Gnaoua people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, who play Gnaoua music; you will learn about them as well and enjoy their unique music.
In the afternoon, you will head out to the magnificent Sahara sand dunes across the barren land in 4-wheel drive vehicles.
You will set off by camel for a 2-hour trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents. (“This is optional if you would rather return and sleep in your hotel”)
Day 8: Sahara Desert – Tinerhir – Todra Gorges – Dades Oasis
Wake up early and climb a dune to sit or to take pictures.
After breakfast, on the way to Todra Gorges, we will take a detour towards Tinghir, renowned for its beautiful palm grove, and Jewish quarter, the highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco with 300m steep cliffs and a mouth just 20m wide.
Next stop at Dades Gorge. Another great spot for trekking and climbing with the sheer colored rock everywhere. Dinner and overnight in a beautiful Kasbah Hotel in Dades oasis.
Day 9: Dades Oasis – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After an early breakfast, you set off to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. You will visit one of the jewels of Morocco – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered usually off the beaten path. After lunch, you will head over the mountains to Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech – Marrakech Guided City Tour
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco, to explore the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue your tour by visiting the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (public market).
Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, you will set off to the coastal town of Essaouira, a picturesque seaside fishing town, lying on the rocky southwestern coast of Morocco. With its exquisite beach to the south, Essaouira has become one of Morocco’s most popular coastal towns and home to many of the country’s wood carvers and artists. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 12: Essaouira
This will be a free day in Essaouira. You will have dinner in the hotel.
Day 13: Essouira – El Oualidya – El Jadida – Casablanca
On your last day of travel, we will depart from Essaouira to Casablanca. We will stop at El Oualidia. Then, as we drive along the coastline to El Jadida, we will visit the citadel to see the underground cistern. We continue on to Casablanca where you will spend the night in the country. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
Day 14: Casablanca – departure
You will be transported to the airport for departure.
